Livestock Transportation
Twisted R Ranch Transportation teams have taken transportation to the next level. We are licensed by the United States Department of Transportation to transport Show livestock. Each and every member of the transport teams is trained and certified by the BQA in the safe and proper way to transport livestock. As well as Certified by Texas A & M University as Master Cattle Transporters. Each transport has a Veterinary Technician onboard. All of our transport rigs are temperature monitored by the driver as well as our main office to make sure that there are never any temperature health concerns. We have transported million dollar grand champions and local family dairy cows , all receiving the best care that you will find anywhere. We do not provide transportation to processing plants or feedlots.
Bio-Security
Bio-Security is the practice of keeping our livestock and other animals safe from illness and disease. When your favorite pet is ill you take him to the veterinarians office in you vehicle, right? Do you sanitize you vehicle after to eliminated the risk of reinfection? Most people don’t. Bio-Secuirty is taking measures to prevent the transfer of illness or disease from one animal to another or reinfection of animals during transport and on the farm. Here at the Twisted R Ranch we take Bio-Security very seriously. All equipment is cleaned and sanitized between each use. Each animal transported is given a health check before being loaded into the transport trailer and is provided with new halters, leads and buckets for the trip.
Low Stress Transport
Stress and livestock can be a deadly combination. Here at the Twisted R Ranch we believe in taking everything slow and easy. The easier we are on the livestock the less stress they feel. Our transport teams are highly trained and certified in working livestock. We never use hotshots or other pain or stress inducing antiquated methods. We work with the livestock not against them.
